The 校董会 delegates certain functions to its 委员会, and board members receive appointments to various organizations at the campus, regional, and state levels.

委员会

The 认证/董事会政策检讨 Subcommittee is responsible for the review of Board 政策 and Board 规章制度. 该附属委员会 receives information on model policies, accreditation standards and legally mandated changes to Board 规章制度 and 政策, as well as recommendations from shared governance 董事会政策组. 该附属委员会 integrates this input to develop recommendations for revisions of existing and the addition of new policies and bylaws. 

The 预算 and 审计 Committee proposes appropriations of funds and modifications. Considers and recommends to the Board the Tentative and Annual 预算 of the District and future fiscal year expenditures, as prepared by the President.

The Committee also confirms the quality and integrity of compliance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements, financial reporting and financial statements, and internal controls related to risks and disclosures. Identifies for recommendation to the Board the independent certified public accountant’s qualifications, independence and performance. Discusses the planned scope of the annual independent audit with the independent certified public accountants and reviews the results of the audit with the independent certified public accounts and management. The Committee receives and reviews the annual financial report with the independent certified public accountants and management.

Reviews matters relating to the development and implementation of the 设施 Master Plan and other facilities-related projects and programs in support of the Educational 总体规划

政府的角色 廉政公署监察小组委员会 is to review the operations of KPCC as it relates to its Public Service Operating Agreement between the District and Southern California Public Radio (SCPR). 这包括 the review of required audited financial statements and any proposed major changes in operations that impact the Agreement.

Los Angeles County School Trustees’ Association (LACSTA)

LACSTA is an association of all school board members of K-12 and community colleges 在洛杉矶县. The purpose is to network, educate, and inform all school board members of educational issues in the region so that we can work together for a seamless transition on educational policies between the boards. LACSTA meeting schedules are determined by the LACSTA Executive Board and all members are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings and programs.
